The McAlester Poetry Club is rooted in the belief that literature and poetry are vital to sustaining a vibrant culture. We focus on nurturing literature’s source: creative writers. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM inside the McAlester Public Library.

• Meetings are free and open to the public
• Anyone (age 18+) with an interest in poetry can join us
